I love this movie soooo much! Just re-watched for the umpteenth time, this time on ye olde netflix instant (yes it’s streaming!) and it brought me so much joy (despite my gross respiratory infection). I had the pleasure of meeting Cher briefly when my step-dad used to play keyboard for her band and I still can’t believe it. She’s such a hero. Also the dynamic between Cher and Winona reminds me so much of my mom and I growing up. love love love.

RIP the lovely and insanely talented Donna Summer. Here with my dude Giorgio Moroder. The disco in the sky just gained one fabulous angel.

This is, seriously, one of the funniest films ever made. I love it. God I love it.

My friends screened this very strange and haunting low-fi sci-fi classic the other day, directed by Peter Fonda. Recommended!

Rosalyn Drexler
My other new found obsession, Rosalyn Drexler aka Julia Sorel aka Rosa Carlos the Mexican Spitfire. Writer of To Smithereens, which the movie Below the Belt was based on. Former female wrestler, award winning play write, pop artists, and Bronx native (also the author of the ROCKY novelization?!)… What a total inspiration! Just ordered 2 of these books online. Can’t wait.
